    Description

    1957 Pontiac Bonneville Convertible
.  #546 of 630 produced.  This is a rare high performance, factory custom made limited production luxury convertible that sports the highest technology available, a Rochester factory fuel injection system.  Factory fuel injection was available only on Bonneville's for 1957.  This car is very original except for engine.  A stock engine is installed along with a factory 4 speed automatic transmission. I have the fuel injection unit, distributor and all the fuel injection sheet metal that are rare and unique to this car. Some small items are missing but they can all be found for sale elsewhere.
All the unique Bonneville only trim is with the car. This is a very solid car. However, there is some rust on the upper rear quarters and over the trunk wheel houses. The floors, trunk and rockers are solid, see photos. This is the original color, white with a red spear. The seats were replaced with blue seats.
Only a handful of RESTORABLE 57 Pontiac Bonneville's are left. Most others have been restored.  Many restored Bonneville's have bodies that have been put together from other cars.  Before restoration, they often had rusty floors, fenders, trunk, and frames.   This car is a solid original with the factory fold on the rear quarter panels, unique only to Bonneville's.  So, if you want to build a 57 Pontiac the right way, start with an all original, untouched car that has a good body.
A bit of history about this car.  It was often seen in the Portland, Oregon area in the early 70s where the owner liked to drive his Bonneville regularly.   Eventually, one of the first 1957 Pontiac specialists in our country, Dan Rogers, from Sandy, Oregon, purchased the Bonneville.  Dan worked on the car but eventually needed to sell it.  I purchased the Bonneville from Dan in 1979.  This car has been in dry storage ever since then.
This Bonneville is a perfect start for a restoration. I am open to all fair offers.  I can offer you the option of having this Bonneville restored at my restoration facility, the Old Stillwater Garage in New Jersey.   For more than 40 years, I have built many award-winning cars for customers across the Country.  I am a well-respected and long-time member of the Pontiac-Oakland, Club, International (POCI).   1957 Pontiac's are one of my specialties.    Google search my garage for more information.
